In regards with the freezing of the People’s Champ and Sarangani Representative Manny Pacquaio’s bank deposit due to Php 2.2 Billion tax case issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) through the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) his mother Dionisia Pacquiao or simply Mommy Dionisia reacted negatively on what happened on his son. Mommy Dionisia cannot contain her disappointment on the freezing of bank accounts of his son where she said that his son’s money is through his earnings from his boxing career and not from being a corrupt politician.
Being a religious person, Mommy Dionisia put the fate of BIR in God’s hands.“Their office, be it at the highest floors, will be put down when God casts His anger upon them.” She said during her interview in TV Patrol earlier.
The freezing of the bank accounts was confirmed by Manny where she can no longer withdraw any of his bank accounts including HSBC, China Bank, BDO, Security Bank, Union Bank and Metro Bank. The tax case covers the 2008 and 2009 where his accountant allegedly fails to report in his income tax returns (ITR) the millions of dollars in taxes that he paid in the US.
