After the first two pairing of The Voice of the Philippines – The Battles where Team Apl.de.Ap secured Tristhan Perfecto and Thor Dulay to the next level, Team Sarah Geronimo with Morisette Amon and Yuki Ito, Team Lea Salonga with Mitoy Yonting and Diday Garcillano, and Team Bamboo with Lee Grane and Angelique Alcantara. The battle continues with the new set of contenders from the four coaches.
The first showdown came from Bamboo where the Cordovales Duo and Paolo Onessa need to perform APO Hiking Society’s Panalangin. Bamboo sided to Paolo and he will be bringing him to the next round despite that most the coaches said that the Cordovales Duo did it better. Next was the team of Lea where roommates Taw Muhammad and Kimpoy Mainit need to outshine one another in order to survive in the competition. They performed Without You of Usher and even it is very painful for Lea she needed to decide and her choice is Kimpoy.
Meanwhile, in the team of Apl it will be a three-way battle between Penelope Matanguihan, Moira dela Torre, and Cara Manglapus with the piece One Night Only of the Dreamgirls. Apl decided to bring Penelope to the next round. Lastly, under the team of Sarah it will be a showdown between Junji Arias and Dave Lamar. Their battle piece is Bohemian Rhapsody of Queen and Sarah selected Junji on this round.
