Iran and Philippines gave the viewers of the 27th FIBA Asia Men’s Championship at SM Mall of ASIA (MOA) Arena a great ball game for the finals where Gilas Pilipinas (Philippines) was overpowered by the Iranian players with 85-71. Iran dominated the FIBA Asia 2013 with their big men Hamed Haddadi who secured massive 29 points and 16 rebounds in the game that also ensured the MVP post. Meanwhile, Samad Nikkhah Bahrami also from the Iranian team added 19 points and 9 assists to ensure lead for their team.

Meanwhile, in the Gilas Pilipinas Jayson Castro and Jimmy Alapag were the main players of the finals where they contributed 18 and 13 points for the team respectively. With the absence of Marcus Douthit who was a strong player for the Philippine team it was hard to close the gap between Iran and Philippines.
