In less than 3 week on the big screen, Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo of Kim and Xian that was based from the best selling self-help book of Ramon Bautista now reaches more than Php 100M. Directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal, it is a comedy film that follows the acceptance and moving on of a top employee of a label company named Sandy Veloso played by Kim and the influence of her new boss named Alex Prieto played by Xian.
Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo is a kind of movie where most of the viewers can relate because of the love, heartbreak, acceptance, and moving on themes. This is the first time supporters of Kim to see her in a lighter and funny character but of course with a touch of drama because of what the character is undergoing. Aside from that, this is not the usual romantic comedy film whereas the story flow focuses on the acceptance and transformation of Sandy and how it also contributes the personality of Alex. What’s good with the story is that Ramon banters with the main characters giving input on the situation.
