Election Day is just less than a month from now and we will be electing our next set of Senators and local government officials but there are so many topics that remained untouched. Topics that most of us ordinary people see and experience from the issue of education, food and shelter, environmental concerns, up to traffic, transportation and infrastructures that are need to be developed and lacking. And with the help of social media we can send those concerns to our fellow Filipinos and most especially to the candidates.

The campaign Kandidato Anong Plano Mo encourages us social media users particularly on Twitter and Instagram to share photos of what they think that the candidates should tackle on their platforms and give solutions. It can traffic on EDSA, beggars on the street, vendors on the sidewalk, smoke belchers, pile of garbage, and more. Using the hashtag #KandidatoAnongPlanoMo they will upload their photos on Instagram or Twitter with their message challenging the politicians to give answer to the problems that sometimes they end up not including on their platform and worse forgetting when they assume office.

With the power of social media, each one of us can be citizen journalists reporting on the issues that we see and encounter in our everyday lives which politicians miss with their busy schedules or simply ignoring it. For more information and sample photos of what netizens have already uploaded visit www.instagram.com/kandidatoanongplanomo and share your own photos we all pray and hope for good governance, faster implementation of projects and transparency in the government especially for the next set of leaders that we are going to elect on May 13.
