After the success of the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in 2009 where it earned more than $243 million worldwide, Sony Pictures Animation will be releasing the sequel of the 3D adventure comedy animation soon on theaters worldwide. It will be distributed by Columbia Pictures here in the Philippines, the local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International. The Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 brings back Bill Hader as inventor Flint Lockwood; Anna Faris as brainy weather girl Sam Sparks; James Caan as Flint’s technophobic dad, Tim Lockwood; Andy Samberg as Swallow Falls’ local celebrity `Baby’ Brent; Neil Patrick Harris as Steve the gummy bear-loving monkey; and Benjamin Bratt as Sam’s mild mannered cameraman Manny.
Joining the cast is Terry Crews who will be the voice of Earl, the town cop in the story. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 continues with the success of the inventor Flint Lockwood who was finally being recognized by his idol Chester V (Will Forte) to join The Live Corp Company. But unknown to Flint that his invention that can change water to food is now working and now evolves that can create mutant food beasts. Watch how Flint and the rest of his team fight the hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees, apple pie-thons, double bacon cheespiders and other food creatures to save the world.
