From the usual fairy tale Hansel and Gretel by the Brothers Grimm that we all grew up with, the United International Pictures thru Solar Entertainment Corporation gives a new taste and continue their journey with the film Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters that will be shown in all theaters nationwide beginning January 23. Directed by Tommy Wirkola, the action-adventure horror film stars Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton and will be available in 3D and regular format.
After saving themselves from the witch who wanted to eat them after having captive in the gingerbread house, Hansel (Renner) and Gretel (Arterton) after 15 years are now witch hunters. They dedicated themselves as the vengeful bounty hunters dedicated to exterminating witches in various towns who use their power to prey on children that they experienced before.
In a town of Augsburg, Germany, Hansel and Gretel were recruited by the mayor to stop the evil sorceress named Muriel (Famke Janssen) who kidnapped children that she will be using as sacrifice for the Moon Blood ritual together with other witches.
Catch the new Hansel and Gretel who are now powerful and strong and ready to stop the witches who kidnapped the children the same way they experienced before in Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters beginning January 23 in all theaters nationwide.
