Megaworld Lifestyle Malls and Eastwood City will be counting down to 2013 with a big party at the Eastwood Mall Open Park on the evening of December 31 with the International reggae hip-hop artist Iyaz. This event will be open to all and the celebration will start at 6pm where Iyaz will be joined by local performers including the musical icon Ely Buendia, award-winning Filipino rock band Up Dharma Down, hip-hop and R&B hit makers Urbanation, the all-girl rock group General Luna, and X-Factor Philippines finalist Mark Mabasa.
Iyaz just arrived in the Philippines and had the chance to meet the entertainment media mentioned that he is looking forward for a great performance in front of the Filipino audience who will be at the Eastwood Mall Open Park on the evening of December 31. He is a multi-platinum singer, songwriter and rapper; he is the singer whom Charice collaborated with for the song Pyramind that made the top charts immediately after its release. He is also the singer behind the multi-platinum song Replay which followed by equally successful songs including Solo and Pretty Girls.
Aside from the unforgettable performance from Iyaz, Ely Buendia, Up Dharma Down and others, audience at the Eastwood City will enjoy the grand fireworks display right after the Dazzling Star Drop which was inspired from the famous New York Times Square Ball Drop ushering the start of the New Year.
This was the second year that Megaworld Lifestyle Malls and Eastwood City will be doing this New Year activity now with Richmond Hotel. According to Kevin L. Tan, First Vice President and Commercial Division Head of Megaworld Corporation he said that this year’s countdown will be the biggest and the brightest because they invited local artists like Ely Buendia and international singer Iyaz to join the party plus the fireworks and the Star Drop.
The event will be hosted by by Myx VJ Joyce Pring, Sam YG and Slick Rick from Boys Night Out.
