Pizza Hut and Taco Bell targets to raise Php 8M for the World Hunger Relief 2012 with World Food Programme

Since 2007, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell both under YUM! Brands here in the Philippines became a big supporter to the efforts of World Food Programme that targets Central Mindanao.  WFP-Philippines with Pizza Hut and Taco Bell focus on the school feeding program for children in conflict affected areas in Mindanao particularly in Sultan Kudarat,  North Cotabato and Maguindanao.

Since the 2007 partnership,  they already raised Php 63 Million and this year for the World Hunger Relief 2012 they are targeting Php 8M. Together with the Hunger Relief 2012 Volunteer Ms. Universe-Philippines 2011 Shamcey Supsup who is also in the Christmas card this year. She will be helping the spread on the awareness and encourage diners of Pizza Hut to purchase the Christmas card for only Php 40 that will go directly to the funds and also customers also have the choice to contribute by adding 5, 10 or 20 pesos to their bill.

Aside from Pizza Hut, Taco Bell will be having a Php 10 donation in every purchase of one of their three limited edition WFP-Taco Bell Combo Meal. There’s also Hunger Relief coin back in all cashiers of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and even KFC.

From 80,000 students,  the number of beneficiaries raised to 100, 000. Meanwhile, globally the Hunger Relief team of YUM! Brands raised $57.9 Million to the WFP within the six years of partnership. Present at the launching were Ms. Universe-Philippines 2011 Shamcey Supsup,  WFP-Philippines Country Director Stephen Anderson and Officer-in-Charge Pizza Hut Marketing Raymund Nobleza.
