Last August 4 and 5, The X-Factor Philippines finally kicks off with their first performance and results night giving the Final 12 the chance to proof themselves to become the future singing superstar in the country. This is also the crucial date where the rival networks launch their talent-reality shows namely Protégé: The Battle for the Big Artista Break of GMA 7 and Artista Academy of TV 5. But the talent-reality show hosted by KC Concepcion together with the mentor judges Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Charice and Pilita Corales remains on top with the score of an average national TV rating of 20.7% ratings last Saturday August 4 based on recent urban and rural TV ratings data from Kantar Media VS the TV5’s Artista Academy that only has 1.8%.

While GMA 7’s Protégé: The Battle for the Big Artista Break also fell short on its viewership during its launch last Sunday (August 5) where The X-Factor Philippines 16.6%. Meanwhile, during the August 4 episode of The X-Factor Philippines it is the performance night of the 12 finalists namely; TakeOff, Daddy’s Home, and A.K.A JAM (formerly Lucky Girls) from Gary V.’s Group Category, Joan Da, Mark Mabasa and Modesto Taran from Pilita’s Over 25s Category, Allen Sta. Maria, Jerrianne Mae Templo, and KZ Tandingan from Charice Girls Category, and lastly Jeric Medina, Gabriel Anciano, and Kedebon Colim from Martin’s Boys Category.

The X-Factor Philippines remains on top of the competition!

And on the August 5 episode of  The X-Factor Philippines, Joan Da of Over 25s Category and Jerrianne Mae Templo of Girls Category were included in the bottom 2 and it was based from text and online votes. With the Survival Showdown, the judges including Pilita, Gary and Martin voted to eliminate Jerrianne which made Charice team less than one member.

Tonight (August 11), the remaining Final 11 of The X-Factor Philippines will have their 2nd Performance Night where viewers will vote again and the bottom two will be named the following day (Sunday, August 12) and one of them will be ending their X-Factor journey. So watch as the future singing sensation emerges in the number one talent-reality show in the country, The X-Factor Philippines, airing every Saturday after Maalaala Mo Kaya and Sundays after Sarah G Live only on ABS-CBN.
