Finally it is here! Catch Enchong Dee, Enrique Gil, Xian Lim, and Kean Cirpiano on August 15 as Star Cinema opens another film that will tackle about friendship in The Reunion. This barkada film is inspired with the songs of the Eraserheads that captured all generations with their songs about love, friendship and self discovery. Also starring in this film are Bangs Garcia, Jessy Mendiola, Megan Young, Julia Montes, Matt Evans, Cristine Reyes and Alodia Gosiengfiao. It is directed Franco Santos-Mortiz.
The Reunion is set few years after high school and now Lloyd (Dee), Bogs (Gil), Pat (Cipriano), and Joax (Lim) reunited for a high school reunion. Unlike before that they are popular because of their band, now everything changes and they became one “losers” during the reunion because of their failures in reaching their dreams. Thinking that they had the chance to change some things that will possibly give impact to their future they tried to trace what are the mistakes they did before and try to correct it.
During the press conference, Direk Frasco mentioned that he enjoyed working with the cast especially the four actors that he sees really fit for their role. He mentioned Enchong, Enrique and Xian that had grown to good and mature actors that knows how to establish their characters from the high school set up and the present times. While Kean, he shared that the vocalist of Callalily showcases raw talent that is really perfect for the barkada film like The Reunion.
