Six year after her last movie with Star Cinema which is Don’t Give Up on Us, multi-awarded veteran actress Hilda Koronel returns to the big screen for the film The Mistress. Produced and distributed by Star Cinema under the direction of Olivia Lamasan, the film also marks the reunion of Hilda to John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo after working with them in ABS-CBN’s hit teleserye in 2006 entitled Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin.

In the film The Mistress, Hilda will be playing the role of Ronaldo Valdez’ wife who will be enduring so much pain after knowing that his husband has a mistress which is played by Bea. According to Hilda during her comeback press conference last Saturday also part of the promo campaign of The Mistress, she said that it was great to comeback in the movie and works with different generations of artists including Bea and John Lloyd. She mentioned that she fell in love with the story and the character that she will be doing in the film.

Hilda shared that she is open to do projects both indie and mainstream and also TV series but she wanted to know the story first. That’s why according to her, she always ask for the script first so she can check if the character fits her and if she will be enjoying her role.

Hilda Koronel started and became popular with Lino Brocka films like Maynila: Sa mga Kuko ng Liwanag where the film won six (6) FAMAS awards and Insiang that won FAMAS and a Gawad Urian Award in 1977. As of now Hilda already receives 3 awards and 11 nominations over all.

The Mistress will be showing in all cinemas nationwide beginning September 12 and also stars Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz and Ronaldo Valdez.
