From being part of the Star Power Final 5, Filipino-Canadian singer K-La Rivera had shown that despite of being raised in the foreign land she knows how to touches the heart of every Filipino through her beautiful voice and angelic face. Aside from being one of the Backroom artists where she ventures to singing at first, K-La tried her luck in theater where she took the role of Nina in the musical play In The Heights presented by Atlantis Productions Inc here in the country and on November she will be playing the role of Jasmine in the Walt Disney’s Alladin the Musical also under Atlantis Prod. According to her it was an honor for her to do the role which her idol Lea Salonga who plays the singing voice.
And now with Star Records, K-La Rivera launches her self-titled album that will be digitally distributed via iTunes, Amazon and www.mymusicstore.com.ph. Included in her 5-track album are Love Has Come My Way, Say That You Love Me, Inseparable, Someone’s Always Saying Goodbye and You’re That I need. K-La made the song I’m Feeling Sexy Tonight popular which was used in Melai Cantiveros’ movie entitled Pureza: The Queen of Riles.
According to K-La she hopes to collaborate with Gary Valenciano and Regine Velasquez in the future and will have more projects to show her talents in singing and acting.
