In line with the launch of TV 5’s Kanta Pilipinas on the last quarter of the year, they created a campaign to let online users or Netizens to be more aware and also fall in love with the singing reality show of the Kapatid network before it starts. The online campaign which they called KPniPetra or Kanta Pilipininas ni Petra in a series of webisodes (web episodes) to be uploaded on the official website of Kanta Pilipinas and having the YouTube celebrity Petra Mahalimuyak to be the star of the show. Last May 16, the production of Kanta Pilipininas kicks off with their first webisode that is uploaded on the official YouTube channel of Petra Mahalimuyak that has more than 56, 000 subscribers and 10 million video views.
The first webisode: KP ni Petra (Kanta Pilipinas Discovers Petra Mahalimuyak) – follows Petra Mahalimuyak in her in her attempt to be one of the possible contestants of TV 5’s Kanta Pilipinas. Her audition happened during the SM Batangas leg of the singing reality show. With all her guts, and so much of it she sings an Adele song in front of the judges including the Inspirational Diva Jaime Rivera and hundreds of those who witness the actual audition in Batangas.

KP ni Petra will be posted soon on the Kanta Pilipinas website and it will be three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) in terms of updating/uploading of new episodes. The webisodes will be posted regularly up to the airing of the show on TV 5 which according to the production they will have more content to produce for the online show that includes never before seen footages and other segments that will not be aired on TV which will be a premium or exclusive for the online followers of Kanta Pilipinas.
Petra is a Star Magic artist before her family moved to US few years ago, now is with Viva Films and planning to release and an album that includes revival and novelty songs that really excites her. According to her with the KP ni Petra it gives her a chance to showcase her talent as a host and comedienne where she aims to be an actress as she works her way from the internet to TV. She’s very thankful to have this break that TV 5 gave her.
