After the announcement of Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, and Charice as the judge-mentors of The X-Factor Philippines, Asia’s Queen of Songs Pilita Corrales will be completing the list of this phenomenal singing reality show that will air soon on ABS-CBN. It is based from the “The X Factor,” a world-renowned musical franchise by Simon Cowell that started in the UK and to be hosted by KC Concepcion.
With over 135 albums to her credit and an international profile with many appearances across the world, Pilita definitely has the keenest and most-experiences eye to spot the ‘x-factor’ among hopefuls who will audition in front of her in the coming weeks. The songwriter, actress, and TV/radio host also performed alongside internationally acclaimed artists like Sammy Davis Jr., The Beatles, 1966, Bob Hope, Pat Boone, Frank Sinatra and Julie Andrews. She also holds the distinction of being the first Filipino to win in an international music festival by bagging the Best Performer Award during the 1st Tokyo Music Festival.
Being a certified Kapamilya, with her multi-awarded show “An Evening with Pilita,” which aired on ABS-CBN from 1965-1972 and is considered one of the benchmarks in Philippine broadcasting history. And now she will be helping the new breed of singers to reach for their dreams and to have that x-factor that every follower is looking for.
