Beginning March 26, catch your favorite Kapamilya stars on Star Magic’s first ever produced digital film that will be shown exclusively on SM Cinemas. The digital film was directed by Rayhan Carlos and it was the fruit of Star Magic’s students’ hard labor from their workshops last October, supported by the Star Magic artists in celebration of their 20th Anniversary.
Kapamilya artists who appeared in the film include Jake Cuenca, Yeng Constantino, Dimples Romana, Roden Araneta, Joem Bascon and Jodi Sta. Maria. Anino was written by the award-wining scriptwriter Gina Marissa Tagas that focuses on the story of a group of friends who decide to take a break from their busy city lives to reflect on their turbulent past, their present situation and future aspirations. Taking a retreat in an unknown destination, they soon discover a darkness that will haunt each one of them.
Aside from Anino, Star Magic will venture on a bigger and most ambitious movie project that will be released on the last quarter of 2012. It will showcase Star Magic talents including John Lloyd Cruz, Angelica Panganiban, Pokwang, Jake Cuenca, Gerald Anderson, Bea Alonzo, Diether Ocampo, Kim Chiu and Piolo Pascual. The film will be directed by John-D Lazatin and will be co-produced by Star Cinema.
