After their successful pairing in the Peter Pan production of the Repertory Philippines, Sam Concepcion and Tippy Dos Santos will reunited in a musical film entitled I Do Bidoo Bidoo. The film was written and directed by Chris Martinez and produced by Unitel Productions, Inc. The film is inspired from the songs the iconic APO Hiking Society.
Sam Concepcion will be playing the role of Rock Polotan the son of Rose (Eugene Domingo) and Pol (Ogie Alcasid) who were stuck in the 70’s – 80’s era. While Tippy Dos Santos is playing the role of Tracy Fuentebella coming from a well to do family and the daughter of Nick (Gary Valenciano) and Elaine (ZsaZsa Padilla).
According Chris Martinez, who’s currently juggling his time with this film and a project with Springfilm as writer for Kimmy Dora and theTempleofKiyeme, it took him almost two years to finish the project where he needs to make the songs in the script come naturally. He was having a hard time which songs to use from all the songs that the APO Hiking Society produced because everything is beautiful and very close to the hearts of every Filipino. Until he come up with the 16-17 songs that he will be using in the movie.
As of now, the film I Do Bidoo Bidoo already shot their first few scenes withGary, ZsaZsa and Tippy and on February 27 Eugene, Ogie and Sam will be having their taping. The production targets to premiere the musical film by June or July of this year.
