World Food Programme launches “Emergency Fund” for Typhoon Sendong victims

The United Nations World Food Programme (UN WFP) officially opens their emergency funds to help the victims of Typhoon Sendong (Washi) in Iligan, Cagayan de Oro and other affected areas in Mindanao. The organization already delivered energy biscuits with the help of the Philippine Air Force and later will be providing emergency food supplies to thousands of people including clean drinking water and medicine. WFP partners to the national and local government to fully distribute and caters to the needs of the typhoon victims especially to children who were very much affected of the said calamity.

WFP appeals to all its supporters and donors to reach out and support the emergency fund raising for the Philippines. In the donation page they are giving two secured options to send donations. For Paypal users they can send donations via Paypal Check Out and it is free from any deductions and tax and it will go straight to the emergency fund that will provide meals and water to all the typhoon victims in Mindanao. While for those who are using credit cards they can also donate thru this page.
