Based from the novel of Ilene Beckerman, “Love, Loss and What I Wore” gives everyone a chance to understand women the way they look at clothes. This fashionable yet heart warming with a touch of comedy monologue/play premiered in 2009 in New York. Now, from July 14-17 CTE Productions Inc brings Love, Loss and What I Wore at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza, Makati City with performers Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Cathy Azanza-Dy, Bituin Escalante, Jay Valencia-Glorioso and Teresa Herrera. It was directed by Michael Williams and Cathy Azanza-Dy.

Love, Loss and What I Wore let us peek on the emotions and lives of different women as they find themselves connecting on the colors and designs of the clothes. Each performers fantastically performed their roles especially Bituin who did most of the comical and naughty roles. It’s been a while since I saw her performed on stage and all I can say she still has that blaze that everyone will love, her wit and power as a stage performer.

I can relate myself in most of the stories that was told in the monologue like the fad on black, shoes and messy closet which it looks like unkempt for ages. And of course, I didn’t miss the part when they talk about pants that really made me laugh. Love, Loss and What I Wore is a kind of play/monologue that everyone should check out. They maybe talking about clothes and fashion but behind its colors and designs it tells so many stories which everyone can relate.
