>Congress to proclaim Aquino and Binay President and Vice President-Elect

June 9, Quezon City – After the long counting and series of probing with the Commission on Election, the Congressional Presidential and Vice Presidential Canvassing Panel will be proclaiming Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and outgoing Makati Mayor Jejomar “Jojo” Binay President and Vice President elect who will be assuming to office on June 30 replacing out going President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo who will be a congresswoman in Pampanga and out going Vice President Noli de Castro. The proclamation will happen at the House of the Representative or Batasan Pambansa in Quezon City with the canvassing panel
Members of the senate who joins the canvassing panel includes Senators Juan Ponce-Ernile, Miguel Zubiri, Rodolfo Biazon, Alan Cayetano, Aquilino Pimentel, Gregorio Honasan, Edgardo Angara, Ramon “Bong-Bong” Revilla Jr. and Joker Arroyo. Where the will be joined their counterpart from the House of the Representative headed by the outgoing Congressman and House Speaker Prospero Nograles.


Noynoy Aquino gains 15,208,678 that ensures his win over Joseph “Erap” Estrada with 9,487,837, while Jojo Binay gains 14,645,574 defeating Aquino’s vice presidential tandem Manuel “Mar” Roxas II with 13,918,490. Right now there is no news of any electoral protest coming from other political party including Roxas’s who still not conceding to Binay.
