Former President and Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) presidential candidate Joseph Ejercito “Erap” Estrada announces in his social networks that he will not be conceding to Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III of Liberal Party who is currently leading at the presidential poll of the 2010 election.

As posted in his twitter and facebook account as quoted Estrada posted this:
“I am not conceding yet as I prefer to observe the law and wait for the official Congressional canvassing of the votes. Nevertheless, if I lose, I will bow down to the sovereign will of the Filipino people.” – Joseph Ejercito Estrada (posted on Facebook)

Here is the screen grab of Estrada’s post:

Rumor says that Estrada is planning to file complaints against the recent election. But there is no clear information on what grounds he will be protesting. But during the interview of his son Jinggoy Estrada in ANC, he clarifies he is not planning any electoral protest, yet it doesn’t mean that he is conceding to Aquino until the final proclamation was done. Aquino as of 4:15PM (May 11) gains 13,036,271 versus Estrada that has 8,345,826 votes. Estrada’s vice presidential tandem continue leading with 12,802,259 votes versus Mar Roxas (Aquino’s running mate under Liberal Party) 11,949,985.The votes gained by the candidates remains partial unofficial result given by Commission on Election (COMELEC)

Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro (Lakas Kampi CMD), Manny Villar (Nacionalista Party), JC delos Reyes (Ang Kapatiran Party) and Richard “Dick” Gordon (Bagumbayan Party) were the presidential candidates who concedes to Aquino. For the vice presidential candidate it was only Senator Loren Legarda of NP concedes to Binay.
