One of the schools who joined the 2013 UAAP Cheer Dance Competition is the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Salinggawi Dance Troupe. They are known as one of the tough team to beat in the cheer dance competition in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) where they reigned straight years as champion in the competition during 1994 to 1996 and 2002 to 2006.
