After the breathtaking 3rd match of Juan Miguel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada for the WBO Welterweight Championship, Pacquiao remains the champion and owner of the WBO Welterweight World title after the majority decision of the judges. Judges votes are 114-114, 115-113, 116-112 in favor for the People’s Champ.
From the early rounds Marquez already showed advantages against Pacquiao after throwing combinations where Pacquaio was having a hard time to find gaps to throw power blows. While on the succeeding rounds, Manny throws combinations against his opponent to gain advantages. In the start of the 9th round Marquez is now showing exhaustion where Manny sees it as a lead to send combinations but still Marquez finds to give counter punches against the Philippine champ.
Until the last 2 rounds the two boxers maintain to show a good fight. At the end of the 12th round Marquez raises his hand as a sign of victory but still the judges favors to the Philippine champ. The crowd in the MGM Grand sends different reactions after the decision was given. Despite of the controversial fight that Pacquiao has still adds to what we call the Filipino Pride. Manny is still open to face again Marquez and other boxers as long as time permits and if possible it will be on May 2012.
