Last June 11, I am with the Sooo Pinoy group and we had dinner at Café Adriatico in Malate Manila. It is one of the LJC Restaurant Group that serves Spanish-Mediterranean cuisine that has a modern Filipino twist. This was not my first time visiting Café Adriatico, but in my opinion I rather want to visit the place for dinner to enjoy the cozy ambiance of the restaurant on a night time. But still you can still enjoy the place on day time letting natural light outside entering their wide glass window to give a very lively feeling while having lunch or after noon snacks at the restaurant.

The restaurant that is located near the Remedios Circle in M. Adriatico Street in Malate has a capacity of 125 seating operates in from 7:00am – 6:00 am (Monday – Saturday) and 7:00am – 4:00 am on Sunday. With the shifting of waiters and cook, Café Adriatico serves their diners round the clock with their specialty of Chocolate Eh, Chicken Ala Kiev, Crispy Pata, Spareribs Adobo, Callos, Salpica and Pancit Malabon.

I was fortunate to try some of the best sellers for a hearty and sumptuous dinner with my fellow bloggers and the Sooo Pinoy group.

Sinigang na Bangus Belly Soup – I almost asked for a cup of rice that time when this soup was served to me. The spicy-sour soup with “talbos ng kangkong”, slice of radish and bangus belly is already good as a meal for me. Enjoying that mild sourness is very comfortable if we wanted to have a relaxing dinner with our friends after work or an evening family day on a weekend.

Spareribs Adobo – adobo is a common dish for all Filipinos, but instead of chicken or pork chops. Café Adriatico serves their adobo with perfectly marinated and cured spareribs to make the meat tender, sweet and salty and best with steamy rice and achara to neutralize the salty taste of Adobo.

Crispy Pata – enjoy the crunchiness of this suckling deep fired pork leg that is good for 4-5 persons. It goes with a soy sauce-vinegar with onion sauce to bring out the delicious taste of the pork meat.

Buco Pandan – to end that delicious meal, there should be a sweet unforgettable dessert to neutralize our palate. Café Adriatico serves buco pandan with a vanilla/macapuno ice cream to give that exciting and sweet spoon full of it as we enjoy the night with our friends or family on a cozy ambiance of the place.
