Manila-based alternative-rock band [gab]explores the emotional struggles of love and late-night overthinking in its latest single, “Melatonin,” now available on digital music streaming platforms.
The song captures the uncertainty that comes with a complicated relationship, where jealousy, unanswered questions, and lingering doubts keep someone awake long after the world has gone quiet.
Formed in 2022, [gab]is composed of Gab Tagadtad on vocals and guitar, Glenn Calingasan on bass, Angelo Zipagan on guitars, and Myk Fresco on drums. The band combines nostalgic Filipino rock influences with a contemporary sound.
Written by Gab and produced by Angelo, “Melatonin” is released under ABS-CBN’s StarPop label. Its alternative-rock sound reflects the band’s influences, including Eraserheads, Mayonnaise, and Rico Blanco, while highlighting its mix of catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and raw rock energy.
Last year, [gab]released the tracks “CIUDAD,” “Kababata,” “Lakampake,” and “Pauwi Na Ako.”
