Prime Video has announced that all eight episodes of Blade Runner 2099, a new limited series set in the iconic Blade Runner universe, will premiere on November 25, 2026, exclusively on the streaming platform in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The announcement was made during the series’ New York Comic Con panel, where stars Michelle Yeoh, Hunter Schafer, Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben, and Matthew Needham joined creator, showrunner, and executive producer Silka Luisa, alongside executive producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, for a discussion about the series and its futuristic world.
Set 50 years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, the series follows a reborn Los Angeles shaped not by humanity, but by forces beyond it. Cora, a fugitive desperate to escape her past, assumes one final identity as a Blade Runner. She partners with Olwen, a Replicant nearing the end of her life, to hunt down a runaway whose secret could threaten the fragile stability of the city.
Yeoh and Schafer lead the cast, joined by series regulars Abold (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) and Gribben (Somewhere Boy). Recurring guest stars include Katelyn Rose Downey (The Nun II), Daniel Rigby (Renegade Nell), Johnny Harris (A Gentleman in Moscow), Amy Lennox (Only Child), Sheila Atim (The Woman King), Needham (House of the Dragon), Tom Burke (Furiosa), and Maurizio Lombardi (Ripley).
Luisa serves as the series’ creator, showrunner, and executive producer. Executive producers include Blade Runner filmmaker Ridley Scott, Alcon Entertainment co-founders Kosove and Johnson, Alcon President of Television Ben Roberts, Steven Johnson, David W. Zucker, and Clayton Krueger of Scott Free Productions, Richard Sharkey, Tom Spezialy, Michael Green, Cynthia Yorkin, Frank Giustra, Tim Gable, and Isa Dick Hackett.
Jonathan van Tulleken (Shōgun) also serves as an executive producer and directed the first two episodes of the limited series.
