The Hawkins Investigators Club is back for another supernatural adventure as “Stranger Things: Tales From ’85” Season 2 premieres on Netflix on September 17. Following their victory over the Horde Queen and their efforts to prevent a new gate to the Upside Down from opening, Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and Nikki are ready to return to ordinary life, until mysterious events once again disrupt Hawkins, Indiana.
Season 2 picks up immediately after the events of the first season, with the HIC returning to arcade games, missions, and preparations for Valentine’s Day. But strange iridescent flowers begin appearing throughout town, hiding a supernatural secret that could spell trouble for Hawkins. Showrunner Eric Robles reveals that Nikki and Max even plan to sell the mysterious flowers around town, potentially spreading the problem even further.
The new season will also feature ghostly apparitions and a swarm of hate sprites, forcing the HIC to investigate another series of paranormal disturbances before a new gate to the Upside Down can be opened. The gang will return to familiar locations such as Hawkins Middle School and Palace Arcade, while also exploring new territory, including a previously unseen mine in Hawkins.
Returning to voice the young heroes are Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Luca Diaz as Mike, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Benjamin Plessala as Will, and Odessa A’zion as Nikki Baxter. Also returning are Brett Gipson as Hopper, Janeane Garofalo as Anna Baxter, Jeremy Jordan as Steve Harrington, Alessandra Antonelli as Nancy Wheeler, Valeria Rodriguez as Rosario, and Jack Griffo as Jeff.
