Anime fans have more reasons to celebrate as Crunchyroll and TMS Entertainment team up to mark the 10th anniversary of the beloved Bananya franchise with a brand-new mobile game and a special anime release.
Launching this summer exclusively on Crunchyroll Game Vault, Bananya Buddies is a cozy cat-collecting mobile game inspired by the popular anime shorts currently streaming on Crunchyroll. Pre-registration is now open on Google Play, while App Store availability will be announced soon.
Developed by Crunchyroll Games and TMS Entertainment in collaboration with independent studio The MIX, Bananya Buddies brings the charming world of the banana-dwelling cats into an interactive experience where players can collect Bananyas, play mini-games, earn rewards, and customize their own Bananya hangout.

Set on the whimsical Bananya Planet, players can welcome adorable Bananyas, earn in-game currency through mini-games, and shop for toys and treats that help boost each Bananya’s Buddy Points. As friendships grow, players can unlock special interactions, including sleepovers and even more surprises upon reaching the coveted “Best Buddies Forever” status.
The game will be available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish (Latin America), and Spanish (Spain).
Bananya Buddies also marks the first original title released through Crunchyroll Game Vault, the streaming service’s gaming library that now features nearly 100 titles. The game will be available exclusively to Crunchyroll Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan members in more than 200 countries and territories.

Alongside the game’s launch, Crunchyroll and TMS are also set to release a special Bananya anime commemorating the franchise’s 10th anniversary, giving longtime fans another reason to revisit the adorable adventures of the iconic banana cats.
While waiting for the new game and anniversary special, fans can stream Bananya, Bananya and the Curious Bunch, and Bananya Around the World on Crunchyroll, which offers more than 25,000 hours of anime content.
