Academy Award-nominated actor Ryan Gosling takes on a high-stakes mission to save humanity in the upcoming sci-fi adventure “Project Hail Mary,” premiering worldwide on Prime Video on July 3.
Based on the bestselling novel by Andy Weir, the film follows science teacher Ryland Grace (Gosling), who wakes up aboard a spaceship light years away from Earth with no memory of who he is or how he got there. As fragments of his memory return, he discovers that he has been sent on a critical mission to solve the mystery behind a strange substance causing the sun to die, threatening life across the planet.

Armed with his scientific expertise and unconventional problem-solving skills, Ryland races against time to prevent Earth’s extinction. Along the way, an unexpected friendship offers hope that he may not have to face the impossible mission alone.
“Project Hail Mary” is directed by acclaimed filmmaking duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with a screenplay by Drew Goddard, who previously adapted Weir’s novel The Martian for the big screen.

The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Ryan Gosling, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Aditya Sood, Rachel O’Connor, and Andy Weir, with Patricia Whitcher, Lucy Winn Kitada, Nikki Baida, Ken Kao, Drew Goddard, and Sarah Esberg serving as executive producers.
Joining Gosling in the cast are Sandra Hüller, James Ortiz, Lionel Boyce, Ken Leung, Milana Vayntrub, and Priya Kansara.
