Open Endings (2025) is a tender, funny, and emotionally layered drama about four queer women in their 30s namely Hannah, Charlie, Kit, and Mihan, whose lives remain deeply intertwined as exes turned best friends. Directed by Nigel Santos and written by Keavy Eunice Vicente, the film stars Janella Salvador, Klea Pineda, Leanne Mamonong, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith as a chosen family bound by years of shared history, first loves, heartbreaks, and everything in between.

The story follows the group as they navigate adulthood, grief, and shifting personal relationships while continuing to show up for one another through life’s most difficult moments. When Hannah is suddenly confronted with deep loss, the friends rally around her, reinforcing the strength of their bond even as unresolved emotions and past dynamics begin to resurface.
Just as their lives start to settle into a sense of stability, Hannah is faced with an unexpected decision that threatens to change everything, forcing the group to question whether their friendship can withstand what comes next—or whether some endings are unavoidable.

After premiering at the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival 2025, Open Endings emerged as one of the festival’s standout entries, earning Best Ensemble Performance recognition for its four lead actresses. Following its successful festival run and strong audience reception, the film is set for a nationwide commercial release in Philippine cinemas on June 10, 2026, bringing its story of queer friendship and chosen family to a wider audience.
