The next-generation global girl group A2O MAY makes a bold return today with the release of their highly anticipated first album, “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE,” now available on all digital streaming platforms.
The 14-track album introduces A2O Entertainment’s original genre, “Zalpha Pop,” a fusion of Gen Z attitude and Gen Alpha creativity. It also showcases the group’s versatility through a mix of pre-debut favorites, unit stages, and solo performances, each highlighting a different side of A2O MAY’s artistry.
Earlier this year, the five-member group made waves internationally as the first Chinese idol group to perform at iHeartRadio’s Wango Tango Festival, marking both their U.S. stage debut and television appearance on KTLA.
At the heart of the album is the title track, “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE,” a high-energy anthem built on siren-like synths, dubstep-inspired electro beats, and bold, confident vocals that define A2O MAY’s “Zalpha Pop” identity. The song delivers a message of fearless ambition and individuality, paired with a visually striking music video that embodies the group’s global edge.

The album also features standout tracks from their journey so far, including the pre-debut single “Under My Skin (A2O),” the bass-driven “B.B.B,” the performance-focused “BOSS,” and the smooth R&B number “MELODY.” Together, these songs highlight A2O MAY’s evolving sound, from powerful pop to soulful introspection.
Individual and unit songs further emphasize each member’s unique color. MICHE and KAT bring vibrant Latin flair in “SWEAT” (available in both English and Spanish). CHENYU delivers emotional depth in “Someone You Loved.” QUCHANG showcases her vocal power in “Black Sheep,” and SHIJIE adds R&B groove with “Trip.” To expand their global reach, “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE” also includes English and Chinese versions of its title track.
In just a few months, A2O MAY has already achieved record-breaking success in the U.S. Their pre-debut single “Under My Skin” made them the first Chinese group to enter the U.S. Top 40 Radio Chart, where it stayed for two consecutive weeks. Their follow-up hit “BOSS” continued that momentum, charting for five straight weeks and climbing from #35 to #32, the highest-ever placement by a Chinese girl group. The song’s viral Jump Rope Dance has since generated over 30 million views across Weibo and YouTube, fueling their rise across Asia and North America.

Backed by K-pop pioneer Soo Man Lee and launched under A2O Entertainment, A2O MAY represents the future of global pop. Their “Zalpha Pop” sound blends futuristic production with heartfelt storytelling, bridging cultures through sound and style.
Highlighting their fast ascent, the group recently attended Amazon Studios’ “Lee Soo Man: King of K-Pop” premiere in Los Angeles, a red-carpet event celebrating the legendary producer’s visionary career. Sharing the spotlight with icons from Girls’ Generation and SHINee’s Taemin, A2O MAY continues to cement their place as the next powerhouse act poised for worldwide success.
