GMA Playlist singers and Sparkle artists Akira Kurata, Shaun Salvador, and Seb Pajarillo showcase the dynamic range of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) through their latest singles. Together, their songs tell a heartfelt story about the stages of love, from the joy of new beginnings to the challenges of perseverance, and finally, to the bittersweet beauty of cherished memories.

The Beginning of New Love

Akira Kurata’s debut single “Dahil Sa’yo” captures the pure, high-energy excitement of falling in love. The upbeat pop track reflects the vibrant emotions of a blossoming romance that makes listeners want to dance, sing, and celebrate love. Kurata shares that he wanted the song to “make people feel happy and full of love,” adding that “‘Dahil Sa’yo’ isn’t a slow song; it’s something you can dance to while singing along.” As the recipient of the GMA Playlist Choice Award, he hopes the track encourages everyone to embrace the joy of love in all its forms.

Relationship Struggles and Perseverance

In contrast, Shaun Salvador’s single “Get Through” delves into the more complex phase of love, focusing on the effort and commitment it takes to sustain a relationship through challenges. The song serves as a raw and emotional anthem for couples striving to hold on during difficult times. Salvador describes it as “a real conversation between two people trying to save their love,” capturing “the exact moment when you’re still holding on to hope, even when things are falling apart.” Through heartfelt lyrics and soulful delivery, “Get Through” paints an honest picture of perseverance and emotional endurance.

Remembering the Beautiful Memories

Completing the emotional journey is Seb Pajarillo’s soulful ballad “Guhit,” which translates to “stroke” or “mark.” The song explores what remains after love fades and focuses on the memories that continue to leave traces in our hearts. With moving vocals and reflective lyrics, Pajarillo evokes both the sorrow and beauty of remembering. He shares that “‘Guhit’ is about the memories that stay with us,” reminding listeners that “not every love story fades away; some simply turn into beautiful memories.”

Together, these three singles offer a powerful musical narrative that mirrors the stages of love—its excitement, its struggles, and its lasting marks. All songs are now available for streaming on digital platforms worldwide.
