Australian pop phenomenon Ruel is ushering in a bold new chapter with the release of his latest single, “Wild Guess,” now streaming via Giant Music. The hauntingly beautiful track offers fans a glimpse into Ruel’s evolving artistry and sets the tone for his highly anticipated sophomore album, “Kicking My Feet,” out October 17, 2025.

Co-written by Ruel, Leroy Clampitt (Justin Bieber, Madison Beer) and Dan Wilson (Adele, Taylor Swift), and produced by the same powerhouse duo, “Wild Guess” is a stripped-back, vulnerable exploration of a love slowly fading away. With its delicate acoustic textures and folk-leaning vocals, the song mirrors the quiet ache of a relationship unraveling. “I’m not so sure / but I’m taking a wild guess / you’re slipping away from me,” Ruel confesses, before reaching the bittersweet realization in the chorus: “It’s been a wild ride, but I won’t be your baby anymore.”

The song will premiere on Apple Music’s New Music Daily along with a FaceTime interview with Zane Lowe, giving listeners a deeper look into the emotions that inspired the track.

“Wild Guess” marks the third release from “Kicking My Feet,” following the bluesy “The Suburbs” and lead single “I Can Die Now.” Written during Ruel’s relocation from Sydney to Los Angeles, the album captures the artist’s creative rebirth. “I knew I wanted to push myself on this new album, but it wasn’t until I had to finalize the tracklist that I realized I’d actually made over 200 songs for ‘Kicking My Feet,’” Ruel shares.

The project features collaborations with some of music’s most celebrated producers, including Julian Bunetta (Sabrina Carpenter, One Direction), Joel Little (Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams), Kenny Beats (Dominic Fike, Ed Sheeran), and longtime collaborator M-Phazes (Eminem, Kehlani). Together, they crafted an album that blends pop, alternative, and R&B influences into a genre-defying, emotionally resonant collection of songs.

Ruel’s evolution has been nothing short of extraordinary. Since bursting onto the scene as a teenager, he has earned over three billion streams, multiple platinum records, sold-out world tours, and recognition from RIAA, MTV, ARIA, and Nickelodeon. Beyond music, he has become a fashion favorite, appearing in editorials for Prada, Fendi, Vogue, GQ, and The Face, and gracing the front rows of shows for Louis Vuitton and Hermès. Industry icons including Sir Elton John and Zane Lowe have championed him, cementing his status as one of pop’s most exciting young voices.

With “Kicking My Feet,” Ruel steps confidently into his next era, creatively liberated, emotionally nuanced, and musically fearless. Fans can pre-order the album now and experience “Wild Guess,” the intimate and mesmerizing track that signals what is to come.
