BOGT Philippines, in partnership with the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), will stage a special fundraising send-off performance of its internationally acclaimed production 13th of September on Sunday, August 10, at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez, CCP. This event will raise funds to support the group’s participation in the 18th Mondial du Théâtre in Monaco, happening from August 20 to 27, 2025.
Following successful international showcases in Canada (2019) and Germany (2021 and 2022), 13th of September marks its third global invitation. It will also have the honor of closing the Monaco festival on August 26 and 27 at the Princess Grace Theater, alongside productions from Lithuania and Morocco.

An adaptation of Lanie Robertson’s The Insanity of Mary Girard, the play has been reimagined by Eljay Castro Deldoc, a three-time Palanca awardee. It is directed by Riki Benedicto, recipient of both ALIW and LEAF awards, whose innovative works have garnered accolades on international stages. The story confronts themes of injustice, power, mental health, and institutional cruelty, making it powerfully relevant today.
Leading the cast is renowned film and theater director Andoy Ranay in the emotionally demanding role of Mary Girard, supported by Lao Rodriguez and Drew Espenocilla. Together, they bring raw intensity to a performance that aims to challenge and move its audience.
