After earning praise for his portrayal of April Boy Regino in Idol: The April Boy Regino Story, rising actor-singer John Arcenas officially makes his debut as a recording artist with the release of three heartfelt ballads under ABS-CBN’s StarPop label.
Leading the release is his rendition of “Sigurado,” originally performed by Belle Mariano and composed by Trisha Denise. John’s version offers a fresh and sincere interpretation that captures the emotional certainty and vulnerability of loving someone completely. Joining the lineup are two original tracks, “Paano Ba” and “Isa Pang Ikaw,” both composed by Richanne Charms Jacinto. “Paano Ba” explores the pain of letting go and the struggle to move on after heartbreak, while “Isa Pang Ikaw” reflects on the rare comfort of discovering a love that feels truly right. All three songs were produced by StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos.
Before venturing into music, John gained recognition for his roles in the Netflix youth series Happy Crush and the stage production Juan Luna: Isang Sarsuwela. His standout performance in Idol solidified his reputation as one of today’s most promising young performers.
