Atlantis Productions brings Xanadu, a 2007 Broadway Musical to Manila on September 3-19 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati starring Rachel Alejandro and Felix Rivera. The Broadway Musical Comedy is cased from the 1980 film with the same title that features Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly as lead stars of the movie with the same title.

Xanadu tells the story of Sonny Malone (Rivera) a struggling chalk mural artist in the Venice Beach and with the help of Clio (Alejandro) who is a muse and descendant of Zeus, she disguises as Kira an Australian tourist, she will help Sonny achieve the greatest artistic creation in his life and that is to build a roller disco. Clio succeeds in her assignment with Sonny but her jealous sisters cast a curse on her making her fall in love with the chalk mural artist which it is forbidden by Zeus to all the gods and muses of Mt. Olympus.

Xanadu made the songs Magic, Suddenly, I’m Alive, All Over the World and Don’t Walk Away popular and it was nominated at the 2008 Tony Awards. The Atlantis Productions includes artists Noel Trinidad, Leo Rialp, Chari Arespacochaga, Bea Garcia, Anthony Ong, Alys Serdenia, Glen Llanes, Robbie Zialcita and Yael Pineda. Set Design by Lawyn Cruz, Costume Design by Twinkle Zamora, Choreography by Cecile Martinez, Musical Direction by Ceejay Javier, Lighting Design by Jonsy Reyes and Vocal Coaching by ManMan Angsico.
