The Filipino singing sensation Charice will be having her baptism today (May 22, 2010) in a church in Pasig City, Philippines, to be converted along with her brother Carl from Iglesia ni Cristo to Roman Catholic. Along with her godmother and godfather are Oprah Winfrey, David Foster, Eugenio “Gabby” Lopez III, Charo Santos-Concio, Karen Davila, Boy Abunda, Kris Aquino, Ricky Lo and Jobert Sucaldito.
After Charice’s baptism in Pasig City, the reception follows at the Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna with the less fortunate children where she will be celebrating her post-birthday celebration. Charice turned 18 last May 10. Charice mother, Racquel was the first one who was converted to Catholic faith.
Charice is set to visit Japan for a pictorial and press conference for a magazine that features her and her Crescent Moon single that was done in both Japanese and English. Her single Pyramid tops the US Billboard chart along with the massive selling of her latest album. Charice appears on The Oprah Winfrey Show last week to launch her self-titled international album where it includes In This Song where David Foster is the one who plays the piano for her that is now uploaded in Oprah’s website.
