After the week-long semi-finals of Tawag ng Tabnghalan Quarter 2, the “Singing Voice Actress of Cebu” Marielle Montellano and “Big Sister Belter of Batangas” Pauline Agupitan are moving to the grand finals. Marielle performed Josh Groban’s You Raise Me Up, while Pauline belts Sharon Cuneta’s Pangarap na Bituin. They were the contenders who returned from the quarter 1 who wanted to take another chance in the Q2. Pauline and Marielle received percentage of combined votes from text and judges, 98.45% and 82.61% respectively.
Meanwhile, “Fab Biritera of Olongapo” Phoebe Salvatierra sings Kelly Clarkson’s A Moment Like This followed by “Rockboy-calista of Cebu” Christofer Mendrez sings Peter Cetera’ Glory Of Love. Lastly, the “Endearing Balladeer of Boracay” Andrey Magada performed Fantasia’s I Believe.
Pauline and Marielle will be joining Mary Gidget Dela Llana and Maricel Callo in the Grand Finals. On June 13, the Quarter 3 of Tawag ng Tanghalan will kick off and this time 3 new judges will join the competition namely Kyla, Erik Santos and Louie Ocampo. Aside from that there will be new twists that awaits the contenders of Q3.
Tawag ng Tanghalan airs within It’s Showtime Monday-Friday at 12:15pm (after Be My Lady) and Saturday as 12 noon.
