Day after his temporary stepdown to office as Makati Mayor, Junjun Binay joined Karen Davilla in her morning show in ANC entitled Headstart to answer questions regarding his suspension and the anomalies connected to his family. One of the question that Davilla asked Binay what was his take on the criticisms thrown to him and his family in social media. Binay said that he don’t have social media accounts and he said that he believes that comments on social media was made by people who were paid by their opponents.
“Bakit social media ang magiging batayan? Gaano kadami ang nasa social media? Hindi tama yan. Ang dami-daming puwedeng bayaran para maging ‘trolls’. It cannot reflect the true sentiment of the people,” Binay explained.
One of the netizens who asked Binay through Facebook comment said that his father talked about experience in terms of leading the country but how does he consider her sister Senator Nancy Binay. Junjun immediately answered it by telling the question was wrong. He said that her sister was with his father (Vice President Jejomar Binay) during his time as a mayor until know and she learned from her father on how to lead Makati until now he is a VP.
