On December 6, Maalaala Mo Kaya will tell a controversial yet an extraordinary love story that blossomed between a priest and a nun played by Arjo Atayde and Yen Santos. After working together in the top-rating romantic comedy series Pure Love, they will be doing a very serious story of a forbidden kind of love between two person who already devoted their lives to the service of God and the church.
Father Francis (Atayde) is a well-loved priest in their place and became a good friend to Sister Joanna (Santos) charming and confident. Sis. Joana encouraged Fr. Francis to take part on non-government organization that sympathizes with radical groups. They join marches and rallies in Mendiola, as they share their stories about their vocation and their common cause of helping and serving other people, and their personal lives.
From friendship, it developed into a special kind of love, which pushed Sis. Joanna to leave her vocation to save his beloved from leaving priesthood. But what will happen to the both of them especially for others their relationship is wrong. Will there be a chance for love between the two of them or they will just focus on their chosen vocation.
Joining Arjo and Yen in this MMK episode are Gio Alvarez, Jopay Paguia, Abby Bautista, Minco Fabregas, Aleck Bovic, Melissa Mendez, Jerry O’Hara, Peewee O’Hara, Bodjie Pascua, Rubi Rubi, and Dale Badillo. It is under the direction of Elfren Vibar and written by Joan Habana and Arah Jell Badayos. Maalaala Mo Kaya airs on ABS-CBN after Wansapanataym every Saturday on ABS-CBN.
