When we talk about music and include family in the topic, we always think about the father and daughter tandem of Hadji and Rachel Alejandro who became one of the household names of the OPM industry with the right combination of novelty, love, R&B and pop songs that compliments to all generations. Little we know that aside from Rachel and Hadji there are other members of the Alejandro clan that are musically incline just like Ali the son of Hadji that’s currently the drummer for a Pinoy alternative rock band Mojofly.
There are Nino and Eddie who are the cousins of Ali and Rachel who are into music too. Nino Nino is an Awit Award-winning singer/songwriter and music producer. He is the lead vocalist of the rock band NATF, one of Manila’s most in-demand acts in the live bar scene. He appeared in the Manila run of “The Full Monty” by Atlantis Productions, the production group that produced Xanadu where Rachel played the lead role. Meanwhile, Eddie is the lead singer of alternative rock band Aspen Way. Their song By Your Side dominated the airwaves of radio stations that feature alternative and rock songs. It also made it in the 2013 Pinoy MYX Countdown.
The five Alejandro members will be in a two-night performance that will happen on November 15 and 29 at the Music Museum as they showcase their music and tries to cross over to other genre. Tagged as In The Blood, it will be a night filled with the music of the Alejandro clan starting from the greatest multi-platinum hits of Rachel and Hadji that we all love and Ali, Nino, and Eddie will be performing today’s hottest chart-toppers, homegrown favorites, and most beloved party anthems.
