DSWD encourages open communications with everyone

In line with the height of the issue of the Disbursement Acceleration Program or popularly known as DAP, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Corazon “Dinky” Juliano- Soliman shared that they are aware of the budget they received came from DAP and it was properly used to help Filipinos who are under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) or popularly known as the conditional cars transfer (CCT) that the poorest of the poor became beneficiaries of the said program. Sec Soliman during the forum shared a book that contains all the breakdown of their beneficiaries in respective regions and their status based on the households before they entered 4Ps up to present.

They also shared stories of two mothers from Maguindanao namely Nanay Annaliza and Nanay Rosalie who became beneficiaries of the 4Ps that helped their families with their needs especially their children to go back school. From being a beneficiaries Nanay Rosalie now became Day Care worker where she teach children at the early age while Nanay Annaliza now became one of the household leaders taking part on the family development seminars and understanding the needs of fellow beneficiaries that will soon helped them with their concerns.

Aside from the stories, DSWD encourages everyone to be part in reaching out to answer concerns under the jurisdiction of the department which also includes child and women protection, disaster and risk management, relief, and many more. Sec. Soliman mentioned that they have social media accounts (@dswdserves) and emails where everyone can reach them along with their hotlines. She encourage open communications to everyone not only to help but also understand the needs and the ideas of everyone as we take part of the nation building.
