Adding to the excitement of the moviegoers and most especially the followers of the iconic fairytale story Sleeping Beauty, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International releases the latest trailer of Maleficent with Angelina Jolie spreads her wings. The multi-awarded veteran actress will be portraying the iconic villain with the same name. The fantasy-adventure film was directed by Robert Stromberg and live-action re-imagining of the 1959 Walt Disney animated film Sleeping Beauty that was based from the based on La Belle au bois dormant by Charles Perrault and based also on Little Briar Rose by The Brothers Grimm.
The film takes on the unwritten story of Maleficent which most of doesn’t know how she became the iconic villain who gave Aurora that forever sleep. Walt Disney will take us on her journey on how her pure heart was turned to stone because of betrayal, thirst for revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides. With her situation, the human king’s newborn infant Aurora was caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. She will face the irrevocable curse of Maleficent.

Maleficent also stars Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville. It will be opening across the Philippines on May 28, 2014 through Columbia Pictures.
