It has been two years already when Kim Chiu first visited Isla Pulo in Tanza, Navotas for the I Dare You challenge where she met Nanay Baby Cerdena. She stayed with her for few days and they formed that mother-daughter bond that defies distance and time. Nanay Baby is a wife of a fisherman and a mother to nine children.
Kim became aware of the situation of Nanay Baby and the people of Isla Pulo where in order to live and provide for their family they need to gather washed up woods and turn these to charcoal or collect plastics that they need to sell in order to earn money. Kim became the “Ate” of the Nanay Baby’s children and even experiencing the way they live. And now reuniting with her, Kim brought Xian Lim with her to see the lives of the people became close to her heart.
With the story of Nanay Baby it became an inspiration of Kim as a person and a daughter which the whole story of her journey back to Isla Pulo will be shown in ABS-CBN’s Christmas Station ID 2013 entitled Magkasama Tayo sa Kwneto ng Pasko that will be unveiled on November 6 at TV Patrol.
