The Arabian theme performance of the National University (NU) Cheer Squadron ensured their spot as the champion of the 2013 UAAP Cheer Dance Competition defeating the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) cheering squad gods; Salinggawi Dance Troupe of University of the Philippines and University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad. Their performance with a touch of Arabian Nights showcases smooth routine and dance moves including breathtaking pyramind and tossing stunts that excites the crowd at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Area and the viewers of Studio 23 early this afternoon.

Following the NU Cheer Squadron is the UP Pep Squad who was the reigning champion for several years and now landing on the second spot and De La Salle Animo Squad with their military themed performance placing them on the third place. Other universities included in the 2013 UAAP Cheer Dance Competition were University of the East (UE), Adamson University (AdU), Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), and Far Eastern University (FEU).
