For the fourth time Denise Laurel will be starring in a Maalaala Mo Kaya and this time the episode will tackle on a very sensitive issue on domestic violence. Joining her is Rayver Cruz that will be playing the role of Raymond, Blythe’s (Denise) husband. Researched by Akeem Del Rosario and written by Benjamin Benson Logronio, the latest MMK episode that will be airing tonight (September 7) was directed by Don Cuaresma.

Blythe was hoping for a perfect family just like other women who entered marriage. As a mother she was a very hardworking which he wanted to support her husband who was also working that time. But things did change when Raymond decided to depend on what Blythe can provide for their family. Aside from being unemployed Raymond became abusive to Blythe from verbal to emotional and later physically which she ended up going to work wounded and in pain.

The MMK episode will show the struggle and the journey of Blythe in protecting herself and her family from domestic violence that she is enduring from her husband. With this kind of theme, the domestic violence episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya was given a Rated SPG (Strong Parental Guidance) of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) because of possible tone of words used in the show, and scenes that shows violence. But in the end despite of the SPG Rating the show aims present the reality on the issue of domestic violence and how women should know how to defend themselves.

Joining Denise Laurel and Rayver Cruz in the latest Maalaala Mo Kaya episode are Belle Mariano, Dianne Medina, Janine Berdin, Gardo Versoza, Ynez Veneracion, Marithez Samson, Kyle Banzon, Hannah Flores, Kelly Misa, Wendy Tabusalla, Beauty Gonzales, Natasha Cabrera, Elaine Quemuel and Lance Lucido.
