Opening in all cinemas beginning September 18, the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano will be returning to the big screen in a family comedy drama entitled Momzillas. Directed by Wenn V Deramas, Momzillas is co-produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films. Joining Maricel are Eugene Domingo, Andi Eigenmann and Billy Crawford.
Momzillas is the latest film of Maricel after Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow last 2011 and with Star Cinema after T2 in 2009. She will be playing the role of Clara who is the mother of Billy in the story that need to be friend with the mother of Andi played by Eugene. It will be usual battle of two mother-in-laws wanting to be in control in the lives of their children but the fun here is after the shipwreck that they need to live together in an island.
The film is one of the two movies of Maricel with Star Cinema. The next one is the Metro Manila Film Festival 2013 entry Boy Girl Bakla Tomboy with Vice Ganda. Momzillas also stars Candy Pangilinan, Joey Paras, Atak, Mel Martinez, Eagle Riggs, Paul Jake Castillo, Christian Vasquez, Luz Valdez and Divina Valencia.
