The Voice of the Philippines Live Show update: Angelique, Yuki, Stan and Diday are eliminated

On the second Live Show at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT) of Resorts World Manila of the The Voice of the Philippines the coaches consisting of Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo and Apl de Ap will need to let go another member of their team. Hosted by Toni Gonzaga with V Reporters Alex Gonzaga and Robi Domingo, the live show will determine who will be leaving the competition through voting and coaches’ choice. And for the second batch of eliminated contestants for The Voice of the Philippines Live Show are: Angelique, Yuki, Stan and Diday

The first set of contestants came from Bamboo’s team; Angelique Alcantara singing Nobela, Paolo Onesa singing You Give Me Something and Isabella Fabregas singing You’ve Got A Friend. With a total percentage of votes for their team Paolo got 46.37% that secures her to the next level. Meanwhile, Bamboo selected Isabella over Angelique to join Paolo to the next round of the competition.

Following Bamboo, is the group of Sarah starting with Yuki Ito singing A Song For You followed by Klarisse de Guzman with her performance of Beggin’ and lastly Maki Ricafort with the song Without You. With a total percentage of votes of 36.75%, Maki is moving to the next round. Meanwhile, Sarah selected Klarisse over Yuki to join Maki to the next round of the competition.

Next is the group of Apl with Penelope Matanguihan singing Ordinary People, followed by Stan Perfecto singing When I Was Your Man and lastly but not the least a performance from Janice Javier with the song I Believe I Can Fly. Janice was saved with the total text votes of 42.82% and Apl deciding to bring Penelope to the next level instead of Stan.

Last set of performers are from Lea’s team with Diday Garcellano singing Rumor Has It, followed by Kimpoy Mainit singing Hallelujah and lastly with Mitoy Yonting singing Don’t Stop Me Now. With a total percentage of votes of 82.29%, Yonting is moving to the next round. Meanwhile, Lea selected the birthday boy Kimpoy over Diday to join Mitoy to the next round of the competition.

Next week another round of vocal flexibility and total performance from the remaining contestants of The Voice of the Philippines. Catch it on Sunday after after Rated K and meanwhile The Voice Life on Saturday after Maalaala Mo Kaya.
