In line with the 20 years of Star Cinema, the film brings a new Kim Chiu on the big screen that will be seen by her supporters and movie goers for the very first time. Unlike from being the Primetime Princess of the Kapamilya Network and doing series of romantic and drama film, Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo will show a funny, witty and a struggling character coming from a broken hearted named Sandy Veloso. The film is directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal and joining Kim are Xian Lim, Kean Cipriano and Ramon Bautista who is the writer of the book where the film was based.
Sandy Veloso is different from Celyn of Ina Kapatid Anak, Jade in My Binondo Girl, and Audrey in Tayong Dalawa. Sandy is a very intelligent lady but everything fall apart since Gardo (Kean) broke her heart. This heartbreak affects her life, the way she approach people and even her job which in the label company she’s the asset and their top employee. In order to save the company, Alex Prieto (Xian) her boss will help her to patch things up in her life and change her to be a better person at the same time brings back her dedication at work.
This will be the first time that viewers will see Kim doing a comedy film together with Xian Lim which according to the actress she wanted to offer a new story and character to her supporters and Star Cinema that’s why she accepted the role. She also enjoyed the character of Sandy which according to her everyone can relate with her from gaining confidence, love and others.
Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo also stars Diane Medina, Jojit Lorenzo, Ryan Boyce, Lilia Cuntapay, and Tonton Gutierrez. Showing in all cinemas nationwide beginning July 31.
