After showcasing his talent in American Idol Season 11 as one of the finalists, Colton Dixon has already releases his album entitled A Messenger under MCA Music Inc last January 29. His album contains 13 tracks including Noise, I’ll Be The Light, You Are, Never Gone, Love Has Come to Me, Scars, Rise, Where My Heart Goes, This is Who I am, In and Out of Time, Let Them See You and The Shape of Your Love.
Colton Dixon landed at the 7th spot in the American Idol Season 11 but elimination didn’t stop him for fulfilling his dream to be a singer. His song Never Gone was sold in more that 21, 000 digital copies and even ranked number 1 in the iTunes Christmas and Gospel singles chart and Billboard’s Christian Digital Songs and Christian/Gospel Digital Songs chart.
Meanwhile, aside from the album that was recently released in all record bars nationwide, Colton Dixon joins Jessica Sanchez on a Valentine’s Day concert at the SMART Araneta Coliseum. Jessica is a fellow contestant at the American Idol Season 11 where she finishes as a runner up to the champion Phillip Phillips. Colton Dixon is a 21 years old singer from Murfreesboro, Tennessee that offers Christian rock music that offers inspiration to all his supporters. Being in the said genre he confirms that he still listens to pop music also with Coldplay and Lifehouse to name a few. He mentioned that it will be a great concert with Jessica because he has the rock while Jessica has the flavor. Regarding his girlfriend that he is very vocal about it he mentioned that he is a very romantic person.
Finally with the question about the new season of American Idol he mentioned that he is a huge fan of Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj is very intimidating. But still he enjoys the list of judges for this season.
